What the guide is
Florianópolis Travel is an independent travel guide to Florianópolis, the capital of the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, written for Brazilian and foreign visitors, with special attention to those coming from Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. Every page tells you when it was updated and where the information comes from, with priority given to official sources.
What the guide is not
It is not an official website of the city, the state government, IPHAN, UFSC, Projeto TAMAR or the airport concessionaire. We do not sell tours or tickets.
Our mascot
Manezinha is a manezinho frog (Ischnocnema manezinho), a little brown spotted frog that lives in the forest leaf litter in Santa Catarina and carries in its name the nickname of the island’s people.
