Florianópolis International Airport / Hercílio Luz (IATA code FLN) is the main airport in the state of Santa Catarina. Since January 3, 2018 it has been run by the concessionaire Floripa Airport, a subsidiary of Zurich Airport, according to Wikipedia. The current passenger terminal opened in 2019 and can handle 8 million passengers a year.

Where it is

The airport is in the south of the island, facing the South Bay (Baía Sul). That means anyone staying in the South (Campeche, Armação, Ribeirão da Ilha) gets there faster, while the North (Jurerê, Canasvieiras, Ingleses) is the longest ride, right across the island.
